What it's like to live your purpose

Living my purpose
Last weekend I had the opportunity to co-facilitate another plant medicine retreat.
Some people left before this photo but it was a powerful weekend.
It takes so much courage to face ourselves, our shadows, and our pain.
I want to first honor the people I served this weekend, and all the others I've had the privilege to work with.
Witnessing transformation this profound has been a blessing.
But it wouldn't have been possible had I not done it myself.
Years ago I found myself in Costa Rica after my life 'fell apart'.
I ended an 8 year relationship abruptly, had an identity crisis, and felt all the pain I'd buried in my lifetime catch up to me at once.
This drove me to become suicidal and self-destructive...
...and lose any hope or purpose I previously had.
For one week in Costa Rica I went deep with a group of 40+ strangers as we explored the power of plant medicine.
Two Ayahuasca and one San Pedro ceremonies provided more healing than 10 years of therapy ever could.
In this process I connected to myself, God, and others more than I ever previously had.
I learned what it truly felt like to love myself and gained clarity on my life's purpose.
Since then I've been on my own hero's journey.
Discovering who I really am and what my purpose is in this lifetime.
Leaving my old business and career behind that earned me over $1,000,000 dollars.
Starting a new business and career pursuing my passion of helping others to heal, transform, and free themselves.
Documenting what I've learned and teaching others what's helped me.
It's been a whirlwind but so incredibly bad ass.
In my 'past life' before I had my awakening... I thought my purpose was to make money and be successful.
But I made a lot of money and was successful by most peoples standards...
...and I was still hurting deeply in silence.
Now I realize my purpose is much greater...
...to make a profound impact on this world...
...to unleash the power in all those around me...
...to guide and heal myself and through that others...
...to be an example of what is possible to be, do, and have...
...to embody and share christ consciousness...
...and so on.
You see our purpose is like an onion - it has layers.
It evolves and grows as we do.
But my belief is at the core we all have ONE purpose:
To self-actualize and to contribute to our fellow man.
And this purpose takes on many flavors depending on the person.
We each have a unique path and way of fulfilling this purpose.

And I feel so honored to be walking my path and fulfilling mine...
...as well as so grateful for people like you supporting me in that.
✅ Win of The Week: Sharing my gifts and wisdom with others.
As mentioned I supported a retreat this weekend.
And my cup is full because I was able to stand in my power during this experience, and contribute to the magic that unfolded.
For that I am so grateful.
❌ Challenge of The Week: Hypnotic Rhythm's suck.
In the book Outwitting The Devil - Napoleon Hill discusses something called the Hypnotic Rhythm.
Think of it as a habitual pattern we fall into that doesn't serve us.
The bad habits, patterns, and behaviors that keep us stuck.
For me it's been social media lately.
1hr+ per day of mindless scrolling and consumption isn't serving me.
So my challenge is to break that this week, and snap out of some habits that aren't serving me.
What I Am Working On & Learning
Business: Our business grows as quickly as we do.
It's easy to get mad at my business as if it's some external thing...
...which technically it is...
...but ironically isn't.
So when things aren't going how I want them to in terms of income, growth, and progress...
...there's only one real problem at the core:
Me.
Note to self: There is no such thing as a business problem, only personal problems.
Money: What gets measured gets managed.
It's easy to review finances when we are crushing it financially...
...after all who doesn't like seeing stacks of cash in the bank?
It's less easy to review finances when we aren't crushing it financially...
...after all who likes seeing expenses, debt, and diminishing cash?
So I'm working on the daily habit of financial review regardless of what financial position I am in.
Note to self: What do incredibly wealthy people do daily? They review their finances. So what is wise for you to do? Review your finances.
Life: We can't have what we don't already have.
There is an interesting thing about the universe and life as a whole...
...we can't have what we don't already have.
Meaning, whatever we want we first have to internally give ourselves...
...before we ever receive it from elsewhere.
Not receiving enough love? Where are you withholding love from yourself?
Not earning enough money? How are you not valuing yourself?
Not having fun in your life? What have you held yourself back from expressing?
It's annoying but so true.
Note to self: As within, so without.
Self: There is nothing wrong about being selfish.
Being selfish is thought of as a bad thing.
Now, that doesn't mean I think we should all be self-serving douchebags.
What it does mean is I've learned that we need to be our #1 priority.
After all - the most important relationship we have is the one with ourselves.
Everything else is only a reflection of this.
Note to self: Be more selfish so you can take better care of those around you.
