What all the great thinkers agreed on

Throughout history there have been millions of bright minds.

Men and women who had an obsession with understanding the inner workings of reality...

...and their own mind.

Each from different time periods, cultures, industries, and walks of life.

Each with their own unique ideas, philosophy, and lifestyle formed through unique experiences.

Each having contradicting beliefs from the other bright minds throughout history.

But you know what is interesting?

Whether it was Buddha, Jesus, Einstein, Socrates, Emerson, Thoreau, Watts, or otherwise...

...they all agreed on ONE single thing.

We become what we think about most of the time.

Now it's not only our thoughts but really what our habitual State of Mind is...

...our default mental, emotional, and behavioral settings.

Which includes our thoughts, feelings, and actions.

The cause to every effect in our lives is our State of Mind...

...also known as our state of consciousness, attitude, paradigm, frequency, etc.

It's like what one of my favorite teachers taught me:

Man’s chief delusion is his conviction that there are causes other than his own state of consciousness.
Neville Goddard

We are full of shit if we believe that our internal world isn't the cause of our external world.

The habitual State of Mind you keep in the shadows is being revealed to you in the light.

Reality is simply a mirror.

If you don't like the reflection you see...

...it's only revealing you to yourself.

The greatest discovery of our century

William James, who is often thought of as the father of psychology once said:

Again my belief is ‘how we think’ was an oversimplification.

Thoughts are only part of the puzzle.

You see our subconscious mind speaks in emotion and thinks in pictures.

Thought for the most part is relating to our conscious mind.

As you’ve probably heard…

…the conscious mind only dictates around 5% of our thoughts, feelings, actions, and results…

…while the subconscious mind controls about 95%.

So although changing our thought patterns on purpose can make a difference…

…it’s a futile attempt when we are fighting against our subconscious mind.

Again: your subconscious mind speaks in emotion and thinks in pictures.

To penetrate, permeate, and manipulate your subconscious mind you need two things:

1) Strong emotional impact.

Remember, it doesn’t speak in words.

It speaks in emotions.

This is why affirmations and positive thinking only go so far.

If they don’t elicit a strong emotional response, they are mostly useless.

2) Clear mental picture.

Remember, it doesn’t think in thoughts.

It thinks in pictures.

To give your subconscious mind clear direction, we need a strong mental picture.

It cannot tell the difference between something you imagine or make up…

…and something that actually has happened in ‘real life’.

To give instructions to our subconscious mind…

…we must use emotions to ‘open the door’ and mental pictures to plant the seed.

Your subconscious mind is symbolic and suggestive.

It doesn’t operate in logic.

It doesn’t ask if things are true or not.

It doesn’t understand good and evil.

It doesn’t know the difference between positive and negative.

It is a fertile garden than will bring forth anything you plant in it.

Earl Nightingale liked to use a powerful analogy to drive this home.

Imagine we are going to plant seeds in the soil.

In one hand I have corn.

Safe, nutritious, and yummy.

What will happen if I plant it in the soil and water it?

It will grow and we will have corn.

Now in the other hand I have nightshade.

Poisonous, toxic, and deadly.

What will happen if I plant it in the soil and water it?

It will grow and we will have nightshade.

The same applies to your mind.

Plant into it images and emotions of abundance, love, and happiness…

…you will harvest them.

Plant into it images and emotions of scarcity, hate, and fear…

…you will harvest them.

As within so without.

My warning to you

Quit letting your present results control your State of Mind.

So long as you allow what you see around you to control your State of Mind...

...you will be a slave to what you see around you.

Instead of changing it for the greater good...

...you will create more of the same.

You must learn to ignore circumstances and current results.

You must learn to control your State of Mind regardless of circumstances and results.

If you can master this, you win the game.

When you notice yourself slipping into disastrous State of Mind, change the channel.

When I was a kid I used to watch late night TV.

South park was my favorite.

But the commercials would scare the shit out of me.

Paranormal activity, insidious, and other terrifying movies would advertise during those hours.

I would freeze up, cover my eyes, and wait until the commercials were over.

But unfortunately every night they would come back on.

You see our State of Mind is no different.

If you don't like seeing the scary preview of whats to come (your current State of Mind)...

...change the damn channel.

Watch something else.

How you can change your mind to change your life

1) Interrupt

I first acknowledge that I am in a disastrous State of Mind.

Awareness is half the battle.

2) Transmute

I secondly anchor myself into a new State of Mind using my thoughts, emotions, and my body.

Breathe to clear the stagnant energy.

Think of my inspiring vision to remind myself of what’s important.

Connect to gratitude to raise my vibe.

3) Maintain

Thirdly it’s a game of maintenance.

It’s very easy in our world to ‘lose the game’.

The game is controlling our State of Mind.

My joke to myself and others is “You gotta keep it gangster”…

…meaning you have to keep a poker face of sorts with your State of Mind.

What does it mean to keep it gangster?

To focus on staying mentally and emotionally involved in what you do want:

  • The dream lifestyle you fantasize about.
  • The fat stacks of cash you receive each month.
  • The confident, attractive, and magnetic version of yourself.
  • The recognition from others as you positively impact and inspire them.

And remove your focus from what you don’t want:

  • The past you are running away from.
  • The current circumstances you are sick of.
  • The problems that keep you up at night.
  • The self-sabotaging patterns that keep you stuck.

It’s simple but not easy at first.

With time it becomes second nature and in the process you begin to control the cause to every effect in your life.

To be clear:

Master this and you’ll begin to master your personal reality and the results you get.

As mentioned earlier…

…the greatest discovery of our century is that we can change our life by changing our habitual State of Mind.
